Works pretty well and brews well, but is hard to take apart for cleaning. The shape of the coffee filter basket makes putting the paper cone in pretty hard. In general; the construction is pretty cheep and I expect some part to fail every time I use it.

This 4 cup coffeemaker is fantastic. I prefer it to the “basket” type because you only need 2 scoops of coffee for 2 cups; 3 scoops are needed for the basket type. I don’t like the tiny power button.

Does make ok coffee…. unfortunately you will probably never get your cup full. The first few times i used this coffee maker, I wondered why I wasn’t getting a full mug. It was because much of the coffee was ending up on my counter.
I was a small nervous about this coffee maker because it was a just a small different than the Mr. Coffee I was using before. The round shape of the carafe was a small different than the more squared off shape that I was used to. When I really tried to use it, I realized that the pour spout on the round carafe is not pronounced enough to keep whatever’s inside from dribbling down the front of the pot.
This is not a very substantial or well made coffee maker, but it gets the job done. Pouring takes a small practice.

I bought this coffeemaker based on another review. It is a 4-cup with a cone basket & makes a excellent cup of coffee. Just hope it has staying power.

Pretty cheap parts, hard to manuever, but the coffee is excellent

This is pretty cheaply made but it DID work. The carafe broke (my fault) after a few weeks and I couldn’t find a 4-cup replacement carafe, white, anywhere so I had to throw the coffeemaker away. Just bought a 4-cup Mr. Cofffee at Target and it works SO much better, for the same price. Suggest you pass on this brand and go to Target instead.

Toastmaster TCM4W TCM4B is FANTASTIC, and …!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I have been searching for a FANTASTIC 4/5-cup coffeemaker, to replace my brilliant ancient Braun KF-400 10-cup (the newer Braun’s… brew way too quick, for full flavor extraction!)?
-I burr grind gourmet beans, filtered water…, and want a FANTASTIC cup of coffee!?
I first tried the Black & Decker DCM500B 5-cup coffeemaker, & was VERY MISERABLE!- bland flavorless, SLOW, MESSY basket paper filter (removing it is a mess!)…, coffeemaker!-
There is a reason the B&D’s sooo slow/tasteless!- It’s the large-diameter “basket” type filter!
Even with a shower head (sprays only about the size of a .50 cent piece)- the grounds on the sides “slowly” get wet, & are hardly strained for flavor (shut it off after brewing two-cups/look- you’ll see 75% dry grounds!)!
-Most ALL Top-Rated gourmet coffeemakers, use the smaller-diameter CONE “paper” filters (more water contact…!).
-! Paper filters also remove heart-UNhealthy chemicals!-
“Use no-hole unbleached (Oxygen bleached is ok) paper filters when brewing your coffee. Kahweol and Cafestol, two substances in brewed coffee, can increase cholesterol levels! Paper filters trap both of these. Skip the espresso and other unfiltered coffees!”!

I Googled (many days/hours, and tried several brands) for a FANTASTIC 4/5 cup coffeemaker, that uses “CONE” filters?-
I finally found the BRILLIANT Toastmaster TCM4B!
Toastmaster TCM4B 4-Cup Automatic Drip Coffeemaker, Black
TCM4B Pros-
- #2 CONE filter that makes a FANTASTIC cup of flavorful coffee (pre-wet basket, handle down, press/fold smaller sides flat…)!
- Shower head!
- Brews 4-cups (2 USA mugs) of HOT coffee, in about 6min (optimal grounds contact time!)!
- No-drip carafe ( If you thumb-up the lid, & pour medium speed)!
- Pause & pour (20 seconds max!- hold basket in with thumb, & lift up back of carafe…).-
- 1 ¼ tbs. grounds per cup, for medium strength coffee.
- Longevity!- I read another user review where they had “happily” used it 4-times a day, for 2-years!
- I had excellent results with the Kroger natural brown/un-bleached paper filters!
- Be sure & wash ALL parts in HOT soapy water to remove oil release film. I also place 1/2 cup of white vinegar in first break-in pot, along with an empty filter.
VITAL CLEANING/USE TIP (all brands!)!- The TCM4 had REALLY different cleaning instructions (not just this!)!- Huge note to let it cool 10min between pots!!! Every coffeemaker I’ve had go terrible on me, was shortly after I had poured cold water into a still hot pot (sizzle…)!
Cons-
- “FULLY” Insert caraffe, “AFTER” you close basket!- or leaks all over!
- This is not Heavy Duty, and probably un-suitable for a huge office… I would never place any of the parts in a dishwasher! It should last long with lots of TLC!?
- On-Light is on the side.
- Does not come with any #2 cone paper filters- Shop ahead (I trimed 1″ off a #4).
