    My favorite coffee maker

This is the second one I have owned. It makes fantastic coffee, is very simple to use and was very reasonably priced. The switch burned up one the first one and I had a hard time finding another. I reckon it is not being produced any more:(

Has worked like a charm for years

Well, I’ve had this cappuccino maker for at least six years. And, for six years it has brewed an dreadful lot of rich espresso and steamed an dreadful lot of frothy milk. It’s worked perfectly for all that time even with heavy use.

The small machine is made of heavy duty plastic with metal parts. It’s so simple to use. . . grind your coffee very fine (or buy espresso grind), fill up the small metal filter and attach the filter holder to the machine. Then, pour the water in. In just a few seconds, you’ll hear the machine heating up and your coffee starts to brew. Right at the end of the brewing cycle, steam your milk by turning the dial. Skim works best, believe it or not– you get creamy frothy steamed milk every single time with skim (and it really doesn’t taste like skim). I place my milk in a cold stainless steel container and this seems to work best.

This is marketed as a 4 cup espresso maker, but if you are making cappuccino, plot on getting only two cups with each brewing cycle.

Again, for the price of this machine, I couldn’t be more pleased. Every time I am in Starbucks or another store that sells espresso makers, I reckon how gorgeous those other machines are and consider purchasing one. But, the truth is, those other machines are very expensive and I don’t really need one, since I consistently get an brilliant cup of cappuccino or espresso from this small $40 machine in less than 5 minutes. It’s been six years since I bought this; it’s reliable, simple to clean, and brews extremely excellent coffee.
